Investment calculator FAQ

Are these investment calculators free?

Yes. Every calculator is free to use and needs no account. Results, ticker data and shareable links are all available without signing in.

Where does the stock and ETF data come from?

When you load a ticker, the calculators use the latest available closing price and dividend history for that stock or ETF, adjusted for stock splits. Historical calculators use daily closes from October 1, 2020 onward. Any loaded figure can be replaced with your own.

Can I share a calculation?

Yes. Each calculator keeps your inputs in its link, so Copy link or Share hands someone the same scenario. A shared link with a ticker loads that ticker's latest data when it is opened.

Are the results investment advice?

No. The calculators do arithmetic on the figures and assumptions you give them, and on historical data where noted. They describe scenarios and past results, not recommendations or forecasts.
