One leader per sector, every market day
This page shows the single highest-scoring stock in each market sector by AIQ composite score. It is deliberately not a "best stocks" list — it is a market-structure view. Because every sector is represented regardless of how strong or weak that sector currently is, the interesting information is in the comparisons: how strong is the best Energy name versus the best Technology name, and how is that gap changing?
Sector leadership rotation is one of the most reliable expressions of institutional positioning. Money rotating from growth into defensives, or from megacap tech into industrials, shows up here as leaders in previously quiet sectors climbing the score ladder while former standout sectors' leaders drift down — often days or weeks before financial media narrates the rotation.
How to read this list
Watch two things. First, the spread: when the top sector leader scores 80 and the bottom scores 45, leadership is concentrated and regime-sensitive; when the spread compresses, participation is broadening — generally a healthier market. Second, leader stability: a sector whose leader changes every few days has churning, contested leadership; a sector with the same leader for weeks has established leadership that institutions are consistently backing.
FAQ
Why does a weak sector still get a leader on the list?
By design. Showing the best name in a weak sector tells you what strength looks like there — and when a weak sector's best name starts scoring meaningfully higher, that is frequently the earliest sign of sector-level repair, visible before the sector aggregate improves.
Where can I see the full ranking within one sector?
Use the screener with a sector filter, or open any leader's stock page and compare it against sector peers from there.
